Quantum is a real villian. Digimon is just find beinging in their world, but there don't want to be in the human world. Just how much human had died already cause this b*tch.

Trying to bring both in the same world. This going end badly. lol
The last ep. Plot Armor is strong. lol
Making a country for Digimon. How they going work. lol
Sure the world goverment aint taking this easy.
A doom day gonna end the world. Not going happen in 2000 year. lol
Just enough time for new series to deal with that job.
Ghost Game is scary and fun. Much different than other series. I enjoy it alot.

Triduo • 1 year ago

Oh, I agree that Ghost Game was good ! ... But this finale is just disappointing in how fast things get resolved...

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

Didn't see the Gulus mega and the fusion for both of them. Also I never understand what role Espimon had in this series. Who the Hiro he always mentioning.

Triduo • 1 year ago

The "Hiro" he was searching for was based on Hiro's irresponsible father's description of his own son. I mean, he literally explained to Espimon that Hiro was just like him without going into more details, appearance wise.

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

Oh that how. Well It be nice to see more evolution out of Espimon. Dam hiro father letting his son do all the heavy work.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Yeah......I even forgot that thing of "espimon never really even saying why he was sent to find the real hiro,"
Not even an anticlimatic thing of "Hokuto sent him to deliver a very special package" (either something funny like a letter, or something dramatic like a digivice)

One could argue his role was there to become the partner of a secondary character but somebody at the writing department forgot that.

Black Reaper • 1 year ago

I dont watch thebshow i just came here to see the ending my bro mentioned but maybe since its i 2000 years that the end bringer appears and they will make a country to face it , thie espeomon or whatever is a time traveler digimon since gulusgammamon is a alien and apparentyl you guys dont know the other digimon's reasoningnfor finding in his own words"the real hiro" it could be one of his descendants 2000 in the future that has his name and will hecome his partner and in that time gammamon and the others will naturely grow up to their mega stage (if i recall in digimon 01, time it took for everythingnthst happpened in the human world until they returned to the digital world, digimons like leomon who died and came back turned into the mega level saberleomon. In short gammamon is solo with the 2 other digimon partners in their mega and this other digimon looking for the real hiro is the partner of the descendant of hiro

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Yeah. the plot armor was quite strong. especially hiro manifesting "siriusmon's arm" in "gammamon's inner world" just because...

The 2000 year wait for the end of the world reminded me of Pokemon's Sword and shield's main villain's motivations. and that gravity falls short where dipper learnt "the world will end in 3012".

Ghost Game had a messy pacing, but i enjoyed it. it was fun while it lasted. its finale is not the best of the world, but is a serviceable finale

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Enjoyable but bad execution of the ending.

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

They already had a series too where digimon and humans live together but humans were really atrocious and the villains in the show.

Seven • 1 year ago

WTF this was so anti-climatic... what about moonmillenniummon, he can digvolve and easily kill this endbinger... this cant be this season finale, there so much left unsolved... I was loving this season and now Im really dissapointed in the end...

Triduo • 1 year ago

More like they didn't have time to do better. TT^TT Even Digimon Frontiers had a proper ending ! Why not Ghost Game ?! And all of this happened because... Of a threat that's going to appear in 2000 human years ? Seriously ? I actually expected Yggdrasil to be slowly corrupted or something... You know, the canonical GOD of the Digital World ?! è___é

Paradoxe : They're a God only in Digimon Savers. Aside from that, we don't see them in other series. -___-

Seven • 1 year ago

right? they could have easily canceled some 10 random eps and made an epic finale with all they promised with zeedmillenniummon, siriusmon and arcturusmon...

Triduo • 1 year ago

They should have actually canceled the recap episodes, even if it was to respect the airing times. And, frankly ? I'm still mad that they made the Mega Evolutions happens so randomly, so we deserves remakes of those debuts !
...
Also, they could have used GulusGammamon's chaotic nature way more and better ! They even could have introduced his evolved forms during an arc's climax where the heroes are losing ! Seriously, they only used him as a safety device for Gammamon's survival... It's logical and yet disappointing...

KiboE • 1 year ago

Agree on the time, they wasted too many episodes with “Monsters of the week” plots.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Indeed

Triduo • 1 year ago

Definitely. They were still good episodes but they could have been with episodes debuting the Mega Evolutions better... I mean, aside from Siriusmon, they were mostly useless against GulusGammamon in Gammamon's own mental world.

mhboy • 1 year ago

Well, it been like that since the remake of digimon adventure. Beside agumon and taichi, the rest are kinda of side character. some did not even have their digivlove scene.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

And yet another rush botching ending Digimon series that leaves a bittersweet taste in the mouth -____-

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

i legit forgot about moonmilleniumon.....
now that you mention it, they could have mention it as a joke of "wait, can moonmilleniumoon stop that endbringer?"
and basically say they have a plan for when that thing arrives in the far future.

elvijsjak • 1 year ago

Sure, there is "monster of the week" episodes, 2 week break before final 2 episode, but there was also Toei hacking incident, even if some episodes were pre-made to some degree it distrubed producion of anime.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

So one of the things I predicted in my previous comment in the last episode happened, the show ended with the good guys winning in the most anti-climatic fashion possible... and because of that, I am beyond disappointed.

Ghost Game had the chance to be a really good Digimon show, the episodic format was interesting at first but it hoarded 95% of everything while only 5 or less than 5% was dedicated to the actual plot, things would have been miles better with a 50-50 ratio... but alas, that didn't happened, and we got a mess of a show that rushed all the entire plot in less than 5 episodes while still leaving MANY things unanswered, way to go Toei.

I'm really curious what the Japanese fans of the franchise think about Ghost Game overall now that it's over, I know Toei wanted to make something different with Ghost Game in comparison with previous Digimon shows... but I feel that they shot themselves in the foot, and in no way I'm going to believe that this anime was well received in Japan.

In any case... I'll give this show a 6/10, probably one of the most mediocre Digimon shows ever, and I'm giving it a 6 because some episodes were actually pretty good... but the rest? Yeah... no one is going to be brave enough to defend the tragedy that Ghost Game was, the only saving grace might be if we revisit Ghost Game in the future in the form of a sequel or something else, but if that happens... then I'm not sure if I'll watch considering the bitter taste I have in my mouth right now.

Oh well... hopefully the next Digimon show will be better, there's no way Toei will ruin it yet again, right guys? Right?!

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Lets hope

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Ghost Game started seriously good then everything went downhill and now we had this last episode for grand finale.
I just won't have high hopes in new digimon seasons, because if they ruined Ghost Game they will ruin anything.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Hey, you want to read an Alternate Universe version of Digimon Ghost Game? Check this out https://docsgooglecom/document/d/1OAiFAgcdSzA_svgy4WbvkFTjHupSdzoJbQY_dPK_FSI/edit?usp=sharing
You will have to add in the . between the docs and google and com
I also have them posted in fanfiction net called Digimon Ghost Game Alternate Universe. Leave me some feedback so I can continue to improve or highlight what you like about each segment.

I practically gave up on Ghost Game when I found out about the writer's perspective so I wrote Ghost Game episodes of my own.

Triduo • 1 year ago

Paradoxe : They're releasing an Adventure 02 movie at the end of this year's October. -____- Stop hopping for a better series. Only the movies and remakes are going to survive this.

Yeah, to be honest, I like Digimon Ghost Game ! ... But it has so much flaws you can't defend it for long and honestly...

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I... kinda don't want to give up hope just yet, this might be just me inhaling lots of COPIUM but I really do hope that after the 02 movie we get an actual Digimon show that fans deserve...

Triduo • 1 year ago

Paradoxe : Did you know that there was supposed to be a project movie in two parts about Digimon Tamers for the 20th anniversary of the Digimon Tamers' series ? -___-

Kranesh • 1 year ago

Ah I see, so Toei wants to save the franchise in the form of movies? Great, only Toei would think about that.

Triduo • 1 year ago

Paradoxe : They're not "saving" it but "exploiting" it. Betcha we'll get a Frontiers movie announcement for the 20th anniversary of Digimon Frontiers in a few years. And a Digimon Savers one after that. And then we'll get one for Xros Wars. And again, and again, and again.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

Yup, Toei being Toei in a nutshell.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Like what with Toei does Dragon Ball franchise every so often, or bringing wonders like from the 70's or 80's and revamping them like Tiger Mask -____-

Triduo • 1 year ago

We need someone to actually hit them on the head and tell them that the problem isn't those working on the series but those ordering those series ! ... Digimon Survive had so much potential and yet it was nothing more than an interactive Digimon light novel with a joke of a Tactical RPG battle system... So sad it couldn't become better...

Xeon • 1 year ago

It may sound ironic to you, but Digimon Survive was just that... a filler game, that was its goal and then things get more complicated than it should. However, it's still a good experience.

Triduo • 1 year ago

Won't argue against that to be honest. Digimon Survive couldn't deliver on ALL of its promises but it still delivered what it could and it worked.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

And now we we've come to end to Digimon Ghost Game.
Source: Original/ game.
Genres: Action, adventure, comedy, fantasy.
Studio: Toei Animation.
Toei Animation being both a toy/merch company and a provider of anime titles such as Dragon Ball franchise, One Piece, Gegege no Kitaro just to name few, (even the other various Digimon shows)

Personal perspective:
This version of the Digimon franchise is taking the aspects of urban legends and horror stories to a new unique level but also going on the Digimon base s t o r y and providement through already
games and such other material.

This series IMO took things a little more darker than some of the previous versions of this franchise.

Personal thoughts:
This series was very enjoyable to an extent with the monster/monster stories of the week but as the overall main s t o r y line dragging on where it was leading, then where it was leading was poorly executed.

This version of the series look like the second coming of Tamers but with a twist of adding a horror movie or s t o r y elements with being somewhat more darker which love the whole split personality/ entity in Gammamon but should have put focus into that then just leaving at as a mark point or easter egg riddle/puzzle to solve later.

All the characters were pretty good and the idea of this version being treating other digimon to other partners and form the whole Pokemon thing was neat. But the flaws to this series as other already pointed out was too many fillers and too many unanswered questions that lead out to end with a paper thing explaining + visual presentations.

As for Digimon forms of looks and ability from rookie to all the way maegas were great and most of the fight sequence's ranging from all right to oh fvking awesome, even when the BGM playing for evolution to the finishers.

But in the end putting too much filler and rush job to finish this was bad and even though the final confrontation against Rugulusmon with going from rookie, champions to all the way to mega for the final beatdown wa epic, but the way it ended in anti-climatic scenario was just crap way of doing it.

With ending disappointment this gets 6.4/10

Emiliano Lamoureux • 1 year ago

well, it's an ending, the ending most ending that an ending has ever been....the end.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Satsohi/Ash from Pokemon: I've been there and done that!

Eternal Gundam • 1 year ago

So you're telling me this is all just part 1 of the series? I'm somehow more confused.

Edit: I really loved the series so much. I was fine with how episodic it was because they reintroduced some beloved digimon and some of the subplots actually made my skin crawl.
However, as much as I want to give it a 9/10, the way they handle the actual plot with GulusGammamon wasn't as good as I hoped it to be because we only got an explanation at the literal end of the series. Personally, it would've made more sense to develop the plot after the first half than shove it all in the final arc.

Triduo • 1 year ago

I'm confused as well... Normally, if they really wanted to make parts they'd divide the whole series into arcs or something...

Paradoxe : So you're thinking that they should have made an arc for the Champion forms, another for the Ultimate forms and another one for the Mega forms ? ... You're expecting too much from them.

Eternal Gundam • 1 year ago

Nah the digivolutions were fine. But Gulus wasn't really explored that much until today. He is this otherworldly digimon who can eliminate Ultimates is apparently someone who is destined to become strong enough to eat a giant fireball/meteor. If he was this much of a threat/saving grace to both the digital world and human world, they probably should've capitalized on that in the previous episodes.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Also lets point out all the black digimon from the shadows here and there and suddenly finding out with just a 1 minute weak explanation.

Eternal Gundam • 1 year ago

Good thing you mentioned that. I thought they were part of GulusGammamon's gang, but apparently not. It's so annoying tbh.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

No prob ^^

Triduo • 1 year ago

In my opinion, the main problem came from the pacing of the evolutions... And how they debuted too.

Neil Dunsmore • 1 year ago

Honestly, this isn't too far off from how I figured this would play out. I didn't mind the final battle ending as quickly as it did as I wanted them to take time to give us a satisfying conclusion. And while we technically got that, I would have liked to get a proper epilogue. It's been a while since we got one of those. Heck, the minute they introduced that last-minute conflict, I thought for sure this would be the setup for a sequel series, but no, this was just building up to the last few minutes focusing on the solution to said conflict and not much else. It sure was great seeing other humans finally know what Digimon are and treating them like living beings for a change. Too bad we couldn't have gotten at least one full episode of that being a thing. But I can't say I'm disappointed because let's face it, this was probably the best they could do with just one episode to tie up a whole bunch of stuff they could have devoted at least 10, maybe 20 episodes to.

Triduo • 1 year ago

Paradoxe : All because they were asked to make more fillers than plot episodes... Wow, how much didn't they actually care about this series to ruin it so much ? -___- It's as if only the voice actors and scenarists actually cared enough about this series to make it survive for so long...

Shiny Bidoof • 1 year ago

just 2000 more years and will became interesting again dont worry XD

Yamashita Taiki • 1 year ago

That has gotta be the stupidest ending ever in all digimon series. Why even bring up some random threat 2000 years away. Suddenly gulus came from space?? Tough this feels like setting up something, I dunno, digimon world 3 (game) world-esque ? Well we know Seekers comes next, so, maybe it continues there?

Anyway, I half expected we're about to see Proximamon since both gammamon is now fused and the mention of a new threat. But no, they suddenly drop the 2000 years bomb and just forget everything alltogether.

Xeon • 1 year ago

I just can't find the right words to describe what I just saw... this is the first time I've been literally fed so much information at once that I just didn't have time to even process what was going on... I guess it has It made sense that this episode was the introduction of a character like "Quantumon".

The beginning of the episode was really emotional and the fight scene was really good and then... well let's just say I wish the producers of this show would have handled the ending of the show better, given more chapters for the final arc and give information to the heroes at a better pace. I like that we finally saw what was the role of Black Tailmon Uver. and the rest of the other Black Digimon who were checking on Gulus (something I predicted a few chapters ago).

This final episode represents how badly Bandai and Toei handled the popularity of "The Vital Bracelet" and how they had no real vision for the product... Until the creation of the "Digimon Seeker" project and the "Digimon Linker".

My guess is that the "ending" of this show will only serve as the basis for the "New" Digimon Anime (something that will eventually be done) inspired by the storyline from "Digimon Seeker" which takes place in a world where humans and Digimon coexist, then it would take place in the new world made by Hiro and his friends together with Quantumon... and about "Arcturusmon" and "Proximamon" I guess we will see their debut in a movie together with the "True" final boss of their story "The Endbringer".
